A THRILLING, WOODY INTERPRETATION OF LAVENDER
Lavender ascends ever hgher until eventually soaring away upon a breeze of freshness that is typically French.
Frenchy Lavender plays upon duality to astonish all the more, with citrusy notes of verbena accentuated by bergamot, lemon and petit grain creating tension with the lavender. Meanwhile, the verbena base obliges certain elegance.
Frenchy Lavande is the new name of Le Frenchy.
THE FRAGRANCE ARTIST'S TOUCH
Lavender, a loyal classic, is awakened through a jolt of citrusy invigoration.
"If it were a monument, the Eiffel Tower."
Defying the laws of gravity, this lavender reaches skyward much like the Eiffel Tower, which was the tallest and most modern tower in the world upon its official opening in 1889. This architectural feat would later become the symbol of Paris, the Guerlain capital.
LAVENDER
The lavender used by Guerlain blooms in the south of France, in the region of Drôme Provençale. It is harvested in summer, then steam-distilled on site in order to obtain its essence. This lavender gives Frenchy Lavande its aromatic, floral freshness.
First brought to the spotlight in 1853 with Eau de Cologne Impériale, lavender has since asserted itself within the House's most iconic trails.
In the Perfumer's Words: "This lavender-verbena duet, formerly kown as Le Frenchy, echoes the similar composition written by Aimé Guerlain in 1872. I have made it more modern, sophisticated and urban with the presence of tonka and vetiver."
