In 1939, Guerlain opened one of the world's first beauty institutes on the 1st floor of 68, Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
Today, our Institutes & Spas carry on this tradition of excellence, embodied by settings that are as exclusive as the treatments offered. Designed by renowned architects, they are inspired by the cultural heritage of each location, creating a unique atmosphere. Our treatment protocols are the fruit of Guerlain's own unique aesthetic expertise and savoir-faire, offering clients around the world a truly exceptional experience.
Since 1828, Guerlain has manufactured in France.
Today, this manufacturing tradition continues in the heart of Cosmetic Valley at two production sites using artisanal expertise and cutting-edge technology. Fragrance is produced in Orphin, Yvelines and Skincare and Makeup in Chartres, Eure-et-Loir.
Since establishing its first factory in the shadow of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris' Place de l'Étoile neighborhood in 1828, the House has never left France.
IN THE NAME OF BEAUTY, GUERLAIN COMMITS ITSELF TO ACT FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE WORLD.
We, Women and Men of Guerlain,
have been creating exceptional Fragrance and Beauty products since 1828 and we strive to preserve, develop and pass on this unique heritage to future generations.
We involve and unite clients, partners, companies that share the same vision, in order to image and shape a more beautiful and responsible world together.
SINCE 1853, WHEN IT FIRST LANDED ON OUR ICONIC BEE BOTTLE, A SPECIAL BOND HAS CONNECTED US TO THE BEE. NOW ENDANGERED, THE BEE HAS BECOME A GUIDE FOR OUR COMMITMENT.
Because if biodiversity sits at the heart of our creations, then it is the bee as an environmental sentinel that sits at the heart of biodiversity. A witness of our time, now threatened, doing our part to protect it seemed obvious.
With this goal in mind, we have dedicated numerous partnerships to bees.
THE FOUR COMMITMENTS RELATED TO OUR PURPOSE:
PRESERVING BIODIVERSITY AND
To give back to Nature via the sustainable sourcing of our iconic ingredients and the
"Guerlain For Bees Conservation Program".
To create more natural formulas in more sustainable packaging without compromising on their quality, sensoriality and effectiveness. To share the background details of our creations via "Bee Respect", our transparency platform.
ACTING FOR THE CLIMATE AND REDUCING OUR FOOTPRINT
To protect the living, who depend on the climate by aiming for carbon neutrality between now and 2030.
CREATING A POSITIVE SOCIAL IMPACT WHILE SAFEGUARDING THE WONDERS OF NATURE
To support women through the "Women for Bees" entrepreneurial beekeeping program in partnership with UNESCO in its biosphere reserves across the world. To raise younger generations' awareness of biodiversity Bee preservation via "Bee School", a volunteer program for Guerlain employees.
Guerlain Canada proudly holds the ISO:14001 certification.
Obtaining this certification is part of Guerlain's sustainable commitment, as we aim to monitor our environmental impact and improve our performance based on the four key pillars of biodiversity, sustainable innovation, climate, and social impact - outlined in detail above.
The Sustainable Development Management System that Guerlain has in place is based on the principles of continuous improvement in the ISO:14001 standard, that allows us to measure the deployment and performance of commitments made across all Guerlain premises (production sites, headquarters, Paris stores, and international subsidiaries), as well as meeting our compliance requirements and prevents all forms of pollution.
